Geraldton Police have arrested and charged a Waggrakine man accused of refusing to leave a property, wielding a machete and making threats to the occupant. Acting officer in charge Sen. Sgt Andrew Ramsden said police were called to a Geraldton address on Tuesday where a 45-year-old man was allegedly refusing to leave. He alleged the man became “aggrieved” when asked to leave, armed himself with a machete and made threats to the occupant. Police confirmed no one was harmed during the incident. A 45-year-old man from Waggrakine was arrested at the scene and later charged with being armed in a way that may cause fear, making a threat to do an unlawful act, being armed and disorderly conduct in a police station or lockup. He is due to appear in Geraldton Magistrates Court next month.
