Maverick, a 21-month old Belgian Malinois, has settled into Geraldton Police Station.

The canine was certified, along with his brother Goose, after an intensive 18-month training course in Perth. He arrived in Geraldton last Monday.

Maverick will be looked after by dog handler Senior Constable Djordje Kandic and will be used in police search operations and drug detection. If you spot Maverick, refrain from touching him, as cute as he can be.
