A Geraldton shop owner spent Saturday night holed up inside her Marine Terrace business after a person smashed a window in an apparent break-in attempt.

Deb Bullock, who owns and manages Miss Molly Retro, said she became aware of the incident after receiving a phone call from police early in the night.

Ms Bullock said nothing was stolen but she made the decision to stay overnight because the glass could not be fixed until the morning.

Geraldton police are also investigating an alleged break-in about 7.45pm that same day at another Marine Terrace business, Culinary HQ.
