Geraldton schoolchildren help sick kids
Students at Champion Bay Senior High School paid for hospitalised children to watch an Easter movie last Saturday..
The students paid for the excursion by washing and polishing their teachers’ cars during recess and lunch.
Student services manager Craig Tapper said money raised was donated to Lions Cancer Institute.
“The students choose to give back to the Lions Cancer Institute because they could relate to young people cooped up in hospital,” he said.
The excursion was for special needs and terminally-ill children.
They watched animated adventure comedy Missing Link, featuring Hugh Jackman.
