Geraldton is set for more of the same beautiful weather of late ahead of the Easter long weekend.

The town has experienced maximum temperatures in the mid to low 30s over the past week, a trend which the Bureau of Meteorology expects to continue over Easter.

Meteorologist Jessica Lingard said temperatures would be similar, but winds may pick up.

“What we’ve got now is what we’re going to continue to see all the way through this week and into the weekend,” she said.

“We’ll be back to slightly stronger winds over the weekend, especially in the afternoons as we get those sea breezes going.

“Nice mild temperatures, beautiful sunny skies, perfect weather for those who are getting out and travelling this long weekend.”

Geraldton is forecast to be sunny and 32C on Friday, with similar conditions on Saturday before the wind picks up on Sunday and Monday with a top of 33C.

Conditions are also set to be favourable across the Mid West.

“As we move inland, temperatures are still in and around the mid 30s all the way through this week and into the weekend,” Ms Lingard said.

“We’re not expecting any rainfall through there, mostly sunny conditions as well.

“It’s a very stable pattern we’re in at the moment.”

Dongara is set for a top of 28C over the weekend, Carnarvon is heading for 36C and a top of 35C is expected for Meekatharra.
