A national advocacy group which successfully lobbied against proposed Commonwealth changes to tax paid by companies and money paid to shareholders will hold its State conference in Geraldton during August.

Representatives from National Seniors Australia and other WA branches will meet at the Gerald Apartment Hotel to discuss seniors issues, including healthcare access, ageing at home, superannuation and elder abuse.

National Seniors Geraldton, who are hosting the visitors, said they were arranging a group of speakers to showcase Geraldton and its history.

Co-ordinator Edna Ralph said the group did not think there were any pressing issues relating to local seniors to flag at the conference, which is being held in Geraldton for the first time.
