Geraldton’s waterfront will come alive this month for one of WA’s most treasured maritime celebrations — the Blessing of the Fleet 2025.

This vibrant community event honours generations of local fishing families and the enduring connection between sea, community and culture.

Each year, thousands gather to witness the blessing of the fishing vessels, enjoy live entertainment and indulge in the region’s finest seafood.

The day will feature decorated boats, parades, fireworks and a full line-up of local performers including Layung Clifford, Tobi Williams, The Aftermath, Yeah Nah Yeah’s and the Josh Crothers Collective.

Visitors can explore diverse food stalls, licensed bar areas, maritime displays and community exhibits showcasing the best of Geraldton’s coastal lifestyle.

Highlights include a Yellow Submarine display, a Batavia Coast Veteran and Classic Vehicle Club car showcase and family-friendly fun throughout Fisherman’s Wharf from 10am to 3pm on Sunday, October 19.

Western Rock Lobster will also be hosting back of boat lobster sales and a free community barbecue, inviting everyone to meet local fishers like Matt Kalazich and his crew.
