Geraldton’s Sundays by the Sea returns for 10th year with two acts performing each session for the first time

A popular way to while away your Sunday afternoons is back for its 10th anniversary — and it’s providing a double dose of entertainment. Sundays by the Sea is returning to the Geraldton foreshore this weekend, providing good tunes, a relaxing atmosphere and a stunning backdrop in February and March. In a switch-up to the format in 2026, for the first time each session will feature two talented homegrown performers, serving up even more music, energy and variety to these Sunday afternoons by the seaside. The 2026 sessions kick off this Sunday, February 1 with back-to-back live sets from Chloe Bailey and Karloo Rockers. City of Greater Geraldton mayor Jerry Clune said the fresh expanded format was the perfect way for the event to mark a milestone year. “Sundays by the Sea remains one of our community’s most cherished annual events and 2026 marks its 10-year anniversary,” he said. “We felt it was the right time to refresh the program and create more opportunities for our incredible musicians. “Doubling the performers means more variety which broadens the event’s appeal and makes for a more enjoyable evening.” Sundays by the Sea will take place every Sunday afternoon at Stow Gardens between February 1 and March 22. As well as showcasing the talents of two different artists, the free all-ages events provide food options as well as games and entertainment for the whole family, thanks to support from Fusion Geraldton. Food will be available from 4.30pm, with live music on stage from 5pm to 7pm. Sundays by the Sea is made possible through part funding from Rio Tinto.
