Girl charged over incident near Geraldton shopping centre

An 11-year-old Geraldton girl has been charged with common assault in relation to an incident near Northgate Shopping Centre on Sunday afternoon.

A police spokesman said officers attended the scene about 3pm after reports a group of girls were creating a disturbance.

Officers searched the area, reviewed CCTV footage and spoke to a number of girls.

Police are still investigating and want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time.
