GNFLW Wrap Round 7: Chapman Valley’s perfect start to the season continues with win over Northampton

Chapman Valley have continued their perfect start to the GNFLW season with a 60-point win over Northampton on Saturday afternoon in round seven. The Royals 9.12 (66) to 1.0 (6) victory against the Rams at Purcher International Oval moves their record to 6-0 and keeps them on top of the GNFLW ladder. While at the Recreation Ground, Brigades picked up their first win of the season by defeating second-placed Railways 4.10 (34) to 4.2 (26). Gemma Dix, Jessica Giudice-Nairn, Steph Rose, Tenae Leitch and Shania Farrell impressed in their side’s eight-point win. In the other game of the round, Towns were far too good for Rovers claiming a 91-point win at Greenough Oval. Ashleigh Jones kicked five goals in her side’s 13.19 (97) to 1.0 (6) victory. Ciara Mourambine, Olivia Bidwell, Aaliyah Jones, Samantha Biddiscombe and Brooklyn Cullen also stood out for Towns. Mullewa had a bye for round seven.
