Applications are open for volunteer groups to apply for grants through their local Federal MP.

As part of the Federal Government’s 2022/23 Volunteer Grants Program, grants of between $1000 and $5000 are on offer for volunteer organisations.

Federal Member for Durack Melissa Price has encouraged community groups to submit an expression of interest.

“Volunteers make crucial contributions to the life of Durack communities every day, helping some of our most vulnerable,” Ms Price said.

“I encourage all of our Durack volunteer organisations to apply for the grants to help make their work easier and safer.”

Grant funding is intended for activities or items that directly benefit the work of volunteers, such as training, equipment, transport costs or coronavirus safety practice.

To apply, visit Ms Price’s website or send an email to melissa.price.mp@aph.gov.au.

Expressions of interest are due at 5pm on Friday, September 16.
