The view from a glass-bottomed boat was murky this week after it became beached at the Greenough Rivermouth sandbar late on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Steve Pidgeon, the Piatella glass-bottomed boat — operated by a local tourism business — was gliding through the ocean when it moved towards the river and got stuck on the sandbar. He took a few snaps of the stranded crew and it was later reported a tow truck rescued them.

Mr Pidgeon said weather conditions were not ideal. He said it was likely the captain could not see how shallow the water was.
