Hidden Gems of Chapman River: Photographer Bill Belson captures local beauty in new exhibit
Geraldton residents are being invited to see their local landscape in a new light, with a new exhibition showcasing the wonders of the Chapman River Regional Park.
In Focus: Hidden Gems of the Chapman River features the work of local photographer Bill Belson, whose lens captures intricate details, colours and textures of one of Geraldton’s most important natural assets.
The community is encouraged to take a walk on the wild side before the exhibit leaves the Geraldton Regional Library on Wednesday, August 27.
The exhibition offers visitors a chance to connect with the park’s biodiversity, which spans more than 360 hectares and is home to more than 300 recorded flora species.
Belson’s work encourages viewers to slow down and take notice of the beauty around them.
Environmental studies have described the park as a biodiversity hotspot of regional significance, with no comparable ecosystem within 50km.
The exhibition is free to attend during normal library hours.
