In her words: Kathleen Gellatly’s message of thanks

It is with a heavy heart that I write this but I want to express my sincere thank you to Midwest Gascoyne Police for their support in the tragic loss of Dean.

The sensitivity and respect shown to me at such a difficult time was very much appreciated.

A special shout out to Sergeant Keith Burrows for your compassion shown.

So glad Dean was with someone he knew and respected after he was found.

Also thank you everyone who helped in the search especially:

* Jamie Jones and members of the Geraldton Volunteer Marine Rescue Group

* Fremantle Water Police and Diving Team

* Marine Rescue Kalbarri

* Geraldton Surf Live Saving Club

* Private vessels

* The many volunteers and anyone else I have missed.

The speed in which the search commenced was unbelievable.

Unfortunately the end result has been devastating but at least I have my son home.
