Information sought after Holden Sedan hits power pole in Beresford, Geraldton

Crews were conducting repairs this afternoon after a car hit a power pole on Chapman Road near Mabel Street just before 10pm on Friday night.
According to police, a Holden Commodore sedan was being driven north on Chapman Road, when it left the road and struck power pole, causing power lines to fall onto the road.
Around the same time police also received a report of a loud explosion nearby, which is believed to have been a power box or transformer that may have experienced issues due to the damaged power lines.
Police, DFES, St John Ambulance and Western Power attended the scene.
The driver (a 27-year-old man) and his passenger both received minor injuries and were taken to hospital by St John Ambulance.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
