Northampton product Julia Teakle turned in the latest in a string of fine performances in the WAFL over the weekend.

Playing at at centre half forward, Teakle kicked a goal for East Fremantle and showed consistency around the ground, winning three free kicks for her team, 10 disposals, an inside 50.

She also made four tackles and took three marks.

Teakle now has four goals in three games and is averaging nearly 10 disposals a game.

East Fremantle are second behind Claremont, having played a game less, and are the only unbeaten side, while Claremont have three wins and a loss

They could go ahead when they make up their game in hand.

Claremont have a bye in April in round seven.

Tiani Teakle, Julia’s younger sister, did not feature in the Rogers Cup.

Courtney Zappara, last season’s GNWFL top scorer, also did not add to her three appearances for Swan Districts’ WAFLW reserves side over the weekend.

Kaylee King, who shared the league best and fairest with Julia Teakle last season, has not featured for the Swans since round one, when she is understood to have suffered a fracture.
