A brawl between two groups of juveniles erupted inside Geraldton’s KFC fast food outlet on Saturday morning, involving rocks, chairs and garden shears being used as weapons.

Police say the “large-scale disturbance” broke out in the KFC dining area on Saturday just before 11am.

He alleged two groups of juveniles acted in a violent manner and used chairs, rocks and wielded a pair of garden shears during the fracas.

“Initial inquiries reveal that the dispute is between two parties over a male but this is unconfirmed,” Sen. Sgt Chris Martin said.

He said no “substantial injury” was reported or witnessed, but the floor tiles inside KFC were damaged during the melee.

“Police inquiries are ongoing and we appeal for any witnesses to come forward and assist police,” he said.

“Officers have collected CCTV footage and are in the process of identifying those involved.”

Anyone who can help with the investigation is urged to contact local police or Crime Stoppers WA on 1800 333 000.
