It would have felt like school holidays started early after a creative children’s festival was held in town last month, occupying families for the day.

Kids from around Geraldton had a blast at the KidTopia festival, where parents were encouraged to let their children and their imaginations run wild.

Children were put in charge during the day of free fun on Saturday, June 23 at Marina Park, Beresford. The festival allowed kids to take risks, ask questions and discover their unique world in a safe environment.

Play stations included experimental material to create whatever they wanted, helping to foster and grow communication skills, boundary setting and personal wellbeing.

The festival, organised by Funtavia, Kids Hub and Euphorium, allowed children to be guided by their own imagination, with the support of the City of Greater Geraldton.
