Well-known hits from the 1960s and 70s will ring out at the Freemasons Hotel when musical duo Kokomo take to the stage this weekend.

Leanne Harvey and Aaron Woolley have performed together for many years, first as part of a six-piece band and now as a duo.

Kokomo have visited Geraldton several times and Harvey said they were looking forward to returning this week.

“We love it up in the Mid West,” she said.

“The people are always friendly and enjoy having a dance.

“Aaron plays guitar and I play trumpet and we harmonise our way through the classic hits.

“Audiences can expect music from Blondie, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan, The Carpenters, The Pretenders and The Beatles.”

The act is based in Perth and both members work full-time as music teachers.

They met at teachers’ college in 1977 and have supported several Australian and international acts over the past 40 years.

Kokomo will play at Freemasons Hotel today and tomorrow.
