Ugle Fabrications La Fiamma have claimed a huge win defeating fourth placed Baldivis SC 3-1 at home in round seven of the State Amateur League on Saturday night.

An even first half saw both sides unable to convert their chances, going into the break at 0-0.

The game sprung into life in the second half as Kumbi Dzoma was put through one-on-one and calmly slotted past the Baldivis keeper to put La Fiamma 1-0 up.

Baldivis pushed on for an equaliser but were denied by some great saves from Reds keeper Jack Peroni.

With 20 minutes left La Fiamma doubled their lead in spectacular fashion thanks to a bicycle kick from Tom Mitic.

The reds were down to 10 men soon after as player-coach Keegan Roos was sent off for a second yellow card.

Baldivis pulled one back in the 80th minute as some miscommunication at the back for La Fiamma resulted in an own goal.

Both sides went down to nine men as a brawl broke out following the goal, resulting in two red cards for Baldivis while Reds Peroni was also sent off.

But La Fiamma regained their two-goal advantage as substitute Luke Hancocks headed home from a free kick to make it 3-1 with 10 minutes to go.

The 3-1 win extends La Fiamma’s unbeaten streak to six games and puts them up to equal fifth on the table.

They will now have a week off before facing top-of-the-table Perth AFC on Saturday, June 11.
