It was one of the most harrowing away trips in recent memory as Ugle Fabrications La Fiamma coughed up 13 goals across two heavy defeats in reserves and league last weekend.

The league side saw nine goals put past them to make it three losses in a row and drop them to 10th on the ladder.

There were caveats to the loss, with several of the starting XI away and naming a third captain in three weeks, but the result was no less disappointing.

The Reds are home for the next two weeks and must get results to keep their season alive.

They have yet to win at home but they also have completed only one game here this season and it is always a tough away trip for visiting sides.

This weekend they take on Woodvale, who finished eighth last season and proved a tough side for the Reds to break, recording a nil-all draw and 1-0 win against them last season.

The Reds displayed plenty of grit and determination in their previous home games against Murdoch and Alkimos and will hope that with several more players available, they can patch their porous defence.

The Reds will kick off against Woodvale at 6pm at Salvatore Sciuto Stadium.
