La Fiamma’s Soccer Club’s hunt for promotion begins this weekend with the side facing off against the newly promoted Bayswater City in Perth.

The Reds had an up-and-down season last year after just barely missing out on promotion in 2022 and faced concerns of demotion.

However, they managed to turn the tables late and go on a four-game winning streak to put them at sixth on the ladder.

The finish kept them in division three of the Belt Up Amateur League, but the side has been looking to move up to division two for multiple years now.

Their quest to move up begins with a round one clash against Bayswater City on Sunday, with the Perth side playing their first game after being promoted from division four last year.

The match will gauge how strong each teams side truly is, with La Fiamma having their sights set on going up a division, but they managed only a 9-3-10 record last season.

Bayswater City fought their way into the new division after mounting an impressive undefeated record last season with 22 wins.

The Reds’ season is set to begin on Sunday, April 14, at 3pm at Frank Drago Reserve.
