The La Fiamma women’s side winning streak was given a scare this week before the side got through with a 1-0 victory over Abrolhos.

The Reds women’s had won a historic 78 regular season games in a row in the Mid West Soccer Association, with the side dominating once again to start this season.

La Fiamma had won by a combined 26-0 in their first two matches and then got up via their opponent forfeiting last week.

However they were put to the test this week against Abrolhos, with the side missing shots on goal in the first half and Abrolhos limiting their scoring assault before they came away with the close 1-0 win on Monday.

Chapman Athletic ladies enjoyed a 7-2 win over the Rovers Soccer club and Olympic FC got up 5-0 over Marconi.
