A 41-year-old woman has been granted bail after police allegedly found a large amount of cannabis during a vehicle stop on Brand Highway, Wandina, last night.

Police will allege they found 1.8kg of the drugs vacuum-sealed in a backpack and suitcase after searching the woman’s vehicle about 6.20pm.

She and a female passenger were both arrested and taken to Geraldton Police Station.

As a result, police then searched a home in Tarcoola Beach where it is alleged they found a further 33g of cannabis and several smoking implements.

The 41-year old woman was charged with possessing drug paraphernalia containing a prohibited drug or plant, possessing a prohibited drug and possessing a prohibited drug with intent to sell or supply.
