Grants of up to $100,000 are available for organisations involved in the Australian live music sector.

The Live Music Australia program helps fund music festivals and events which feature original Australian acts to support the development, growth, collaboration and innovation in the Australian music scene by giving artists more opportunities.

The $5m program provides grants ranging from $5000 to $100,000.

Durack MP Melissa Price said it was important for the Federal Government to support Australian music and encouraged live music organisations to make an application.

“I recognise the value of live music performances in our communities,” she said.

“Live music brings people together, showcases our local talent, and helps create a sense of identity and pride.”

Funding is available for projects starting from January 2023.

The closing date for applications is Thursday, November 17.
