Lochlan Taylor continues to dominate 17+ category while other divisions prove close at the Woorree BMX club

The Woorree BMX Club hosted an electrifying round of BMX racing at the weekend, showcasing a stunning array of talent across various age categories.

Spectators were on the edge of their seats with a series of adrenaline-pumping races as riders displayed impressive skill, determination, and sheer athleticism on the track.

In the fiercely contested 17-plus men’s category, Lochlan Taylor once again proved his dominance.

With a flawless performance, Taylor secured the top spot on the podium, reinforcing his status as the rider to beat.

Daniel McDonald put up a valiant fight to claim second place, while Mike Gallie delivered a solid performance to take third.

The 11-14 boys’ category was a nailbiter, with Maale Taylor emerging victorious after an intense battle with Axl Gallie.

Zeth Curtin seized third place, capitalising on Mason Herron’s unfortunate tumble in the final moto of the night.

A special mention goes to Banjo Hutton, a newcomer whose rapid improvement in lap times signals a promising future in the sport.

In the 8-10 mixed category, the rivalry between Cooper Womersly and Ace Opalinski was the highlight of the day.

Both riders showcased remarkable skill, but it was Womersly who triumphed, clinching first place with three moto wins.

Opalinski followed closely in second, demonstrating his potential.

Carter Patterson secured third place in a tight finish, just edging out the competition.
