Friday the 13th. Unlucky for many, but not Aaliyah Standen — or her dad.

Aaliyah only wanted one present for her seventh birthday that Friday — a brother.

Her gift arrived with 28 minutes left on the clock. And when Nixon Standen was born to mother Bonnie at St John of God Hospital, it completed a rare treble of family birthdays on December 13.

Nixon and Aaliyah (2012) had followed their dad Robert Standen, who was born on December 13, 1990.

“I couldn’t believe it when we were told Nixon was due on December 13,” Robert, a mechanic, said.

“For it to happen was amazing.

“Aaliyah will turn 18 on the day I am 40 and Nixon will celebrate his 21st when I turn 50.”

Right now, Robert’s thinking of what ink will be applied to his right arm. His left arm has a tattoo which reads: “Aaliyah Jade, my daughter is a day brightener, heartwarmer, gift of eternal love.”

As for Aaliyah, she’s pretty content hugging and kissing her seventh birthday present — her baby brother.
