A driver suffered minor injuries when two cars collided at the intersection of Utakarra Road and North West Coastal Highway this morning.

Police allege the crash occurred when a driver failed to give way to oncoming traffic as he attempted to turn on to Utakarra Road.

Senior Constable Keith Burrows urged drivers to take care when driving to prevent avoidable incidents.

Police said the road was cleared by 10.30am.
