A man has appeared in a Geraldton court after being accused of contributing to a fire in Guildford on Christmas Day. Michael Ivan McNeil has been charged with failing to reasonably ensuring that a fire or ignition source did not cause a fire that could not be controlled. The 44-year-old appeared In Geraldton Magistrates Court from custody on Thursday and is also facing multiple drugs charges related to an alleged Spalding incident. Magistrate Angus Hockton read the charges to Mr McNeil, who was not required to enter a plea. No bail application was made and he will next appear in court on February 21.
