A man has been charged over an alleged meat cleaver incident outside Geraldton Police Station.

Police, describing the incident on Twitter today, allege a 40-year-old man armed with a meat cleaver chased a person outside the police station.

It was one of two alarming alleged weapons incidents documented on Twitter by police in the Mid West this weekend.

Mount Magnet police yesterday took to Twitter after they allegedly found two boys, aged 15 and 16, with an unlicensed firearm.

The boys were also charged with drug offences.
