Man charged over fireworks incident

A 46-year-old man has been charged after police found unexploded fireworks in Rangeway yesterday.

Police were called to the area following reports of an explosion in the area about 4pm.

Officers cordoned off the area as a safety precaution until the fireworks were declared safe.

The man has been charged with a number of offences and will face Geraldton Magistrate’s Court.

The fireworks were seized.

Police inquiries into the incident are continuing.
