Man charged over theft, disputes at Dongara

A man has been charged with a string of offences over a series of incidents at Dongara at the weekend.

Dongara police allege the man stole items from a clothing store rack display on Moreton Terrace about 1pm on Saturday.

A short time later, police said the man was drinking at a licensed premises on Moreton Terrace when he allegedly got into an argument with another patron and smashed a glass.

After being removed from the venue, police said the man went to an Armstrong Street property where he allegedly got into an argument and scuffle with people there.

A 27-year-old Perth man has been charged with stealing, disorderly conduct, damage and aggravated common assault.

He was released on bail and is due to appear before Geraldton Magistrate’s Court on May 5.
