A 60-year-old man was seriously injured in a car crash on Chapman Road, Beresford, this morning.

A police spokeswoman said the man’s four wheel drive crossed onto the wrong side of the road before smashing into a power pole near Dean Street about 10.30am.

She said the man was taken to Geraldton Hospital with a fractured lower spine and would be flown to Perth to receive further treatment.
