The final man to be charged over a $1 billion meth seizure in Geraldton is expected to face Perth Magistrate’s Court today.

The 45-year-old, from Sydney, was charged in Sydney on December 21 last year with importing a commercial quantity of the drug.

Australian Federal Police allege the man was a “key facilitator for the importation and its subsequent intended distribution in Australia”.

If convicted, he could face life behind bars.

The 1.2 tonne seizure – the largest in Australia – took place in December 2017.
