Marine Terrace tree removal

Geraldton Guardian

The City of Greater Geraldton will close a section of Marine Terrace this Saturday to remove a dead Norfolk Island pine.

The street will be closed between Cunningham Street and Francis Street, from 6am to 6pm.

A city spokeswoman said the tree needed to be removed because it posed a risk to community safety.

She said residents and business owners would have access to their properties throughout the day, although there may some short delays.

She urged people to exercise caution in the area while work was under way.
