Mid West Academy of Sport and Department of Sport team up to deliver program for emerging youth leaders

The Mid West Academy of Sport (MWAS) in partnership with the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries will be hosting workshops for emerging sports leaders in the region.

The Mid West Emerging Sports Leadership Program is targeted at 14-16 year old’s to develop leadership skills and knowledge for the sporting field and also for later in life.

It focuses on building young role models in the community by improving communication skills, enhancing their problem-solving abilities, boosting leadership qualities and increasing confidence.

The program will be delivered across three workshops, two in-person in Geraldton and one online, with the first workshop taking place on May 13.

All three workshops must be attended to complete the program with registrations closing on April 6.
