Finalists for the 2023 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards have been unveiled, with several based in the Mid West or having strong links with the region.

Among the list of finalists are the Geraldton-based Eco Abrolhos Cruises, Finlay’s Kalbarri, Nexus Airlines, Kalbarri Scenic Flights and Nationwest Aviation, Lobster Shack in Cervantes and Wooleen Station in the Murchison.

The awards are now in their 51st year, with entries from a wide array of tourism businesses across metropolitan and regional WA in 26 categories.

“The Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards are the most prestigious awards in the tourism industry, with a long history of celebrating and recognising business excellence and improving tourism business’ operations,” Tourism Council WA CEO Evan Hall said.

“This year’s finalists should be exceptionally proud of being recognised as the best tourism businesses WA has on offer and contributing to the State’s tourism industry and economy.”

A new category of excellence in accessible tourism has been introduced this year.

The winners of the 2023 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards will be announced at a gala dinner on November 11 at Crown Perth.

Gold medal category winners will go on to represent WA at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in Darwin in March 2024.
