Midwest Charity Begins at Home’s 12th Gala Dinner raised about $190,000 last Saturday.

The event, the not-for-profit group’s big annual fundraiser, catered to about 430 guests, each paying $220 to enjoy a medieval-theme night.

Additional money was raised by the auction of goods and services donated by local businesses.

Midwest Charity Begins at Home general manager Chris Dobson said the night was a great success.

“It was fantastic ..., we’ve had nothing but good feedback.”

Since its establishment in 2008, MCBH has given back nearly $2.3 million to 244 Mid West families affected by serious illness.
