A motorist is facing a dozen charges for allegedly trying to evade police in Geraldton on multiple occasions last month.

Police will allege the man was driving a silver Mitsubishi Magna involved in a number of fail-to-stop incidents in and around Geraldton between January 25 and 29.

It will be alleged the man was actively avoiding police following the incidents.

On Wednesday this week, following a tip-off, police went to a property in Broome Street, Spalding, and arrested a man without incident.

A Spalding man, 29, has since been charged with stealing a motor vehicle, two counts of reckless driving to evade police, one count of reckless driving, three counts of unlicensed driving, one count of possession of stolen property, two counts of failing to stop and two counts of with intent to harm committing an act to endanger safety.
