Multicultural Comedy Gala visits Geraldton in September to perform at QPT

Some of Australia’s funniest and emerging comedians are sure to bring the laughs with them when they visit Geraldton as part of a multicultural tour highlighting what makes us different can unite us. The Multicultural Comedy Gala touches on multicultural Australian identity and diversity, as well as guaranteeing to have you laughing off your seat with a night not easily forgotten. On September 3, join the laughs at Geraldton’s Queen Park Theatre at 8pm with true blue Ivan Aristeguieta, UK-born Georgie Carroll, Dilruk Jayasinha from Sri Lanka, First Nation Australian Andy Saunders, refugee Joe White and Ting Lim from Singapore. Producer Betty Moxey said the industry was coming back from COVID cancellations, and for some of the artists in this line-up it was their first opportunity to travel extensively and first time visiting the State. “For this reason, each set is guaranteed to carry a special energy of anticipation,” she said. “There will be a focus on their experiences as multicultural comedians — but generally it’s going to be all about the laughs and reconnecting with audiences around Australia as we travel the nation over the next 12 months.” The tour in August and September begins in Margaret River and heads north to finish at Port Hedland.
