Dressed in red, black and yellow, students at St Lawrence Primary School recently bunched together on the oval and formed the Aboriginal flag.

Staff organised the photo shoot as part of NAIDOC Week celebrations, which were held early as official observance falls during the school holidays.

To capture the flag, a

Geraldton Guardianreporter was lifted 15m high in a cherry picker.

NAIDOC Week is from July 8-15.
