Neamo Anthony Graham Little: Boyfriend punches and kicks 17-year-old girlfriend in horrific DV assault

A teenager who repeatedly punched and kicked his girlfriend of two years in the head has been handed a community-based order to seek counselling and find out the underlying cause of his actions. Neamo Anthony Graham Little, 19, showed remorse throughout his sitting as he pleaded guilty to aggravated common assault and breach of bail in Geraldton Magistrates Court on Thursday. The court was told Little was in a two-year relationship with his 17-year-old partner when on Friday, March 1, he went to her house and entered a room, where she was lying face down on the bed. The prosecution said Little punched her in the face and kicked her to the head up to five or six times. Defence counsel Veronica Randall said the couple were arguing at the time and Little accepted his “anger had got the better of him”. Magistrate Kelly Thompson said Little’s behaviour that day was “extremely serious”, but because of his young age and lack of a record, she granted a community-based order in the hope he can unravel the underlying cause of his actions. She said whether the incident was caused by drugs or alcohol, or another reason, it was important he engaged with Community Corrections and completed his order.
