No AFL game for Geraldton in 2018

The Australian Football League has confirmed Geraldton will not host a pre-season fixture during the 2018 JLT Community Series.
An AFL spokesman today told The Guardian series fixtures would be released on Thursday, with one match to be held in a regional WA location, but not Geraldton.
The Guardian understands Mandurah is likely to host the game, because of a policy of rotating games between regional venues.
Mandurah is also home to Peel Thunder, which has an alignment with Fremantle Football Club.
Geraldton hosted a 2017 JLT Community Series fixture at Wonthella Oval in February between West Coast and Fremantle.
