‘No smaller format hub’: Geraldton to get ‘full Kmart store’

Kmart group has confirmed it will be taking over the Target store at Northgate Shopping Centre early next year. Kmart general manager Chris Renshaw said all Target employees had been given the opportunity to join Kmart, with in-depth training and support provided to make sure they were ready for opening day and beyond. “As a business, we're committed to opening stores in new communities and reaching even more people,” he said. “That's why we're so excited to welcome Geraldton into our Kmart family in early 2021.” A Kmart spokeswoman said the Geraldton store would be a full Kmart store, not the smaller format Kmart hub adopted in some regional towns in NSW and Victoria.
