This year’s Geraldton Netball Association season is looking much the same as last year as Aztecs continue to dominate, while Pumas sit alone in third.

The Lightning were never going to be a threat to the all-conquering Aztecs as they went down 57-34 on Tuesday to make it six rounds without an on-court win.

It was almost a repeat of their game in round four when the Aztecs won 56-33 as no one had been able to close the gap to them and their near three years of dominance.

The one-point of difference from last year is that the Falcons do have a win under their belt, but they were still no match for the Pumas who took the late clash 52-33.

Since their 2020 triumph, the Pumas have comfortably been in third unable to challenge the Aztecs and Kazuals while ahead of the Lightning and Falcons with the exception of their shock qualifying final loss to the Lightning last year.

Pumas will likely be outclassed once again next week when they face the Aztecs while the Kazuals should breeze past the Falcons fresh of their bye.
