P-plater with kids ‘clocked at 160km/h’

A Geraldton P-plater had three children in her car when she was allegedly clocked at 160 km/h today.

Cue police charged the 27-year-old Waggrakine woman with reckless driving and being in excess of 0.02.

Police allege the woman was clocked at 160km in a 110km zone on Great Northern Highway in the Shire of Mount Magnet at 9.15am today.

Police said she was travelling with three young children and her partner.

The woman was issued a surrender notice to have her vehicle impounded for 28 days.

She is due to appear before Cue Magistrate’s Court on March 23.
