The Rams enjoyed a win over Suiside, with Dean Pascoe adding one for the highlight reel with a grand slam home run to seal the game.

Suiside were playing their first games since the Christmas break but Pascoe made sure they would not have an easy return.

Pascoe pitched superbly for the Rams but he sealed the game with the bat, clearing the fence with a grand slam home run to seal the mercy rule victory 9-1.

Suiside did have joy in their earlier game over Martians, defeating the ladder leaders 6-1 in a hard-fought effort.

Cooper Jefferies pitched a great game and Tyler Corlett hit a home run over the fence for Suiside.

Martians put up a good fight with Kurt Mead and Kyle Watts forming an effective partnership at short stop and second base making several key outs at second between them but ultimately Suiside were too tenacious for the Martians’ men.

With multiple key players out of the side, Pi’s division 1 women split results on Saturday.

Rams came out firing in the second game of their doubleheader as they ran away with an 11-1 mercy rule win.

Pi’s only run came in the first innings as Rams were able to force the errors on an undermanned Pi’s outfit, able to get around bases far too easily.

They backed it up with good ground ball work to seal the win.

Pi’s rebounded in the late game as Martians fell in a narrow defeat 9-6 to Pi’s.

With the absence of pitcher Natalie Wisewould, it fell to B grade pitcher Tanya Copely to step in for Pi’s.

Copley did well, especially considering she played two more games for B grade across a big weekend, as Martians kept hitting out to left field, with fielder Kylie Morgan making catches with apparent ease.

Earlier the Marlins continued their winning ways with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Rams.

The teams could not be separated across the seven innings with Taryn Purcell and Sandra Watts both pitching well to have the sides locked at 2-2.

But at the bottom of the seventh with two outs Zoe Purcell cracked a hit over left field to score the tiebreaking run and grab the win.

In the second division, The Marlins demolished Rams 27-4, blasting 13 runs in the third innings.

Syann Scicone starred for Marlins after driving in four runs off three hits, scoring from singles and doubles across the innings.

Martians Black defeated Pi’s 16-10, with Martian Candee Leggett scoring a superb home run, two singles and taking a well-placed outfield catch.

In the division two men’s games Marlins could not replicate the women’s success, going down 21-9 in a hard-fought effort to Rams White.

Rams got the scoring off to an early start, with hits from Dion Harrison, Matt Buscombe and Aaron Sweetman in the 1st inning.

Marlins fought back in the second with runs from a walk by Leslie Purcell and hits from Chris McNaught and Dwayne Jackamarra, but Rams turned up the pressure and took the win.

Rams also took down Martians Black in a big win 30-9.
