Patron named

A playwright and actress from Geraldton has been named patron of Hayman Theatre, Hayman Theatre Company and the Curtin Theatre Arts Program.

Kate Mulvany was appointed patron due to her achievements and contribution to theatre at Curtin University and will provide advice in her new role.

Mulvany has scripted more than 20 plays and has appeared in feature films The Great Gatsby and The Turning.

She was also in Australian drama television series Secret City and will appear on the upcoming six-part miniseries, Fighting Season.

Hayman Theatre will host more than 100 performances in 2018, ranging from major productions and class performances to various student shows such as the Sunday Night Theatre.
