Paul Christmass is the champion of champions after winning the event over the weekend at the Cambridge Croquet Club.

Christmass was chosen to represent the Geraldton Croquet Club at the State’s Champion of Club Champions the two-day pitting the very best club croquet players in WA against each other.

Twelve clubs were represented by their champions, seven city and five country clubs.

Singles games were played against all entries with Christmass losing his first three games of the group stage before winning eight in a row to finish second.

This qualified him for the final against Brett McHardy from Forrest Park whom Christmass had lost to 7-5 in the previous stage.

But the Geraldton champ took out the title-winning 10-9 in a closely fought contest, taking the overall honours as well as the country title.
