Geraldton has its croquet champion as Paul Christmass added another club championship to his long list of achievements in an enthralling battle with Bob Imray.

Thirteen players from the club battled it out across Saturday and Sunday in the round-robin tournament as Christmass backed up his 2022 club title with a dominant weekend.

Christmass when undefeated across his 12 games finished with a perfect 12 wins and a massive 51 net hoops.

Despite his dominance, Christmass was kept honest by runner-up Bob Imray who took home 10 wins.

He had pushed Christmass in their match going down 7-6, the only player to finish within one hoop of the champion, while his other loss came against Steve Robb also by a 7-6 margin in a fantastic effort finishing with 33 net hoops.

Peter Clift rounded out the podium with eight wins and 14 net hoops

His victory means Christmass will represent the club in the Champion of Champions in Perth on the weekend of August 12-13, a title he won last year against Forrest Park’s Brett McHardy.
